Designed for all Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) FSS attendees. The "FSS Workflow Transformation" session will provide participants with an overview of the VA FSS Program. This overview will include a discussion of the organizational changes that have occurred recently and the future of the FSS Program.

1B Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) Update
(Pharmaceutical and Medical Surgical Suppliers)
This session will review topics pertinent to the CMOP Procurement Support Branch within National Contract Service. Topics may include an overview of the CMOP program, including but not limited to how products are selected for dispensing from a CMOP. The session will include a brief overview of select topics and a Town Hall format where participants are encouraged to ask questions, either by forwarding them in advance or during the session.

(All Medical Surgical Suppliers)
This session will provide an overview of the clinical approach and process utilized to identify candidates for standardization through to the award decision phase.

In the “Getting on Schedule” break-out session participants will learn about the processes and best practices associated with getting a VA FSS contract. Learning objectives include:

– LO-2: Important criteria to consider before submitting a proposal
– LO-3: Proposal submission best practices and key elements of a successful offer
– LO-4: Proposal review and award process

This session will review topics pertinent to the HTME’s Equipment Consolidation and Non-Consolidation processes within National Contract Service. Expediting of Offers from Consolidation, electronic posting of order status and post warranty maintenance. Re-issuance of solicitations to include Glassware, Radiation Therapy and Imaging. The session will include a brief overview of these select topics and a Town Hall format where participants are encouraged to ask questions, either by forwarding them in advance or during the session via an open microphone.

The “Negotiations: What You Need to Know” break-out session will provide participants with key information about the FSS negotiation process. Learning objectives include:
– LO-1: How to prepare to negotiate your proposal
– LO-2: A review of the key terms and timeframes associated with negotiating a proposal
– LO-3: Best practices
11:35 a.m.-12:05 p.m. 2E Contract Extension Process
(Current FSS Contractors)
Participants in the “Contract Extension Process” break-out session will become familiar with the FSS contract extension process. Learning objectives include:
– LO-1: How to extend your FSS contract and what your responsibilities are throughout the contract extension process
– LO-2: Contract extension best practices and key elements of a successful submission
– LO-3: Contract extension review and award process
